The Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for performing radiographic procedures by the application of ionizing radiation to produce radiographic images under a variety of conditions and assisting physicians as required in the selection of practical applications and technical factors. This role involves obtaining patient histories, producing quality radiographs, selecting proper technical factors, providing radiation safety, operating equipment, and maintaining departmental orderliness. The technologist will also assemble films for interpretation, assist with patient transport, and utilize various computer systems including RIS, EHR, and PACS. Responsibilities extend to understanding sterile procedures, general scheduler duties, Prompt Care workflow, and managing supplies. The role may involve coverage in Ambulatory Surgery, Pain Clinic, and Diagnostic Radiology with varying shifts, and requires the ability to operate a C-Arm if working in ASC/Pain Clinic. Compliance with safety policies, incident reporting, and providing excellent customer service are essential.
