About The Position

Purpose of Position: Perform and provide General Imaging, CT Scan, and Mammography exams during normal business hours. Uphold the organization’s vision, mission, and corporate values. Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with organization’s policies, procedures, code of conduct and work rules. Essential Functions: Arrange patients for General Imaging, CT Scan, and Mammography Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation exposure following the ALARA principle (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) General Imaging Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation Perform Bone Density scans – Dexa Scan CT Scan Produce radiographic images (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems and complete required documentation Rotate on call for General Imaging and CT Mammography Perform Screening and Diagnostic exams Maintain tracking system and documentation: All Mammographic results  Code 4 and 5 results Conduct quality control and assurance testing, and record findings per MQSA/FDA regulations  Maintain hospital accreditation by participating in inspections and correcting any deficiencies: MQSA/FDA every year ACR every three years Update operations manual in accordance with FDA/MQSA/ACR regulations Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • All Norton Sound Health Corporation employees are expected to have general knowledge of typical office technologies such as computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, and typical office software.
  • General Imaging
  • Bone Density training preferred
  • CT Scan imaging, GE prefered
  • Power injectors, Medrad preferred
  • Mammography imaging
  • MQSA/FDA/ACR regulations

  • Above average interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • If not certified in CT, must obtain within 12 months
  • If not certified in Mammography, must obtain to work in modality

Nice To Haves

  • Bone Density training preferred
  • CT Scan imaging, GE prefered
  • Power injectors, Medrad preferred
  • Second modality certification preferred: CT Scan, Mammography

Responsibilities
