About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Rad Tech I works under the supervision of the Tech Manager. This role performs radiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols, assists and instructs patients prior to and during examinations, and is responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards. The technologist is responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations, inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use, and reporting equipment failures or malfunctions to the outpatient supervisor. They must also report all patient complaints, discrepancies, and drug reactions according to QA policies. Responsibilities include producing images, burning CDs, occasional film printing, organizing paperwork, and completing requisition data. The role may involve working in other areas of the department, such as the front office, and assisting other modalities as time allows. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course.
  • California Certified Radiologic technologist (CRT) required, ARRT required.
  • Current AHA or equivalent healthcare provider BLS Certification required.
  • Less than one year of experience in general radiology. New Rad Tech grads welcome to apply.
  • Basic clerical and computer experience.
