About The Position

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist I, internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I. The Rad Tech I will be conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. This is an important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. Shift Available: Days Employment Type: Full Time (Some Call) Shift Hours: 8-hour shifts - 7:30am to 4:00pm Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS

Requirements

• Registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• State of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts upon hire
• ARRT-R designation
• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
• Current BCLS (AHA)
• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required
• Proficient computer skills

Nice To Haves

• JRCERT accreditation preferred
• At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures such as radiography, CT scans, mammography, bone density tests, ultrasound, and other examinations following departmental protocols
• Responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
• Interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
• Maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
• Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
• Operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
