About The Position

Radiologic Technologist I, Weekend Program Nights, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. This is a full-time position with a standard work week of 40 hours. The role involves performing and assisting with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, documenting patient history, confirming patient identification, preparing and administering contrast media, consulting with radiologists and other physicians, selecting and operating equipment, and maintaining appropriate records. The position requires knowledge of growth and development principles and skills appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. The role is located at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, and operates on a Weekend Program, Nights schedule.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
  • Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
  • BLS required

Responsibilities

  • Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
  • Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
  • Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
  • Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
  • Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
