About The Position

St. Luke's Health-Memorial Livingston is a 66-bed facility and member of CommonSpirit Health, a national nonprofit health system. Serving East Texas, St. Luke's Health-Memorial provides more than a quarter of a million patient services annually and contributes millions of dollars in local charity care and community support. This facility delivers more than 60,000 patient services annually—half through its Level IV trauma-designated emergency department. Patients have access to a wide range of services including orthopedic care, women’s health and a state-of-the-art sleep center. Advanced imaging services include MRI, CT, 3D mammography, 4D ultrasound, cardiac echo and more—all close to home. As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program from an accredited institution.
  • Medical Radiographer: TX (MRAD:TX)
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through an approved AHA program
  • None

Responsibilities

  • Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director.
  • Obtains and documents patient history.
  • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
  • Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
  • Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
  • Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
  • Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
  • Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
