About The Position

Clinic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic images within the clinic environment and dependent upon the type of clinic can be responsible for phlebotomy and registration of patients. Department: Radiology Location: Effingham Walk-In Clinic Hours: Part-Time, 20 hours a week Shift: evenings and every other weekend. Required: AS Degree, ARRT (R) within 1 year of hire, BLS within 90 days of hire $2,500 sign on bonus Responsibilities Accurately uses image identification including documentation in patient records (Charts) of proper consents, orders and screening forms., Determines portion of body to be imaged and properly positions the body for the images., Follows proper policy and protocol for procedures as outlined in protocol guides and hospital policy., Maintains equipment by routine cleaning and operations checks., Obtains and records patient history, vital signs, symptoms or complaints prior to physician seeing the patient and assists with exams/procedures at physician's request., Performs miscellaneous office duties such as answering the phone, scheduling patients, cleaning exam rooms between patients, etc. , Performs phlebotomy work as ordered by Providers., Processes images to PACS system., Selects proper techniques and accessories for proper exposures., Utilizes ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure to staff members and patients., Utilizes Hospital Information System (HIS) to obtain patient information, verify orders, complete charges and process studies. , Utilizes proper safety techniques performs general radiology exams and provides excellent quality imaging. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • ARRT - Radiography (R) - (within 1 year of hire) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
