About The Position

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Breast Imaging. This role involves producing high-quality images for physician interpretation, adhering to MQSA and Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards. The technologist will utilize various imaging equipment and technology, practice proper safety guidelines, foster teamwork through communication, and ensure a high level of patient service. Flexibility in work locations, shift times, and lengths is required, along with performing other duties to ensure efficient and optimal patient care. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

  • Requires a graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • Organized, efficient and multifunctional.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication.
  • Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
  • ARRT certified in Radiography
  • ARRT certified in Mammography within 18 months of hire or 24 months for Critical Access Hospital, Per Diem, or Supplemental employees.
  • Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if the state requires licensure).
  • BLS certified

Nice To Haves

  • Radiologic Technologist or Mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mammography Quality Standard Act (MQSA) and Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments.
  • Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology.
  • Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients.
  • Fosters teamwork through effective communication.
  • Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths.
  • Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.
