About The Position
Single or Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologists are responsible for producing quality images by utilizing proper positioning skills, using the ALARA principle for radiation safety, ensuring both patient safety and comfort during examinations. Responsible to the Executive Director of Imaging Services and Imaging Supervisor.
Requirements
- Complete/Pass a C.A.H.E.A. approved Radiologic Technology program that provides an Associate Degree or a 2 year certificate in radiology
- Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible
- Registry eligible candidates may be conditionally employed as long as the test is taken and passed within one year within first year of employment
- Must be a MRT in good standing licensed by the Texas Medical Board
- Must obtain and maintain current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
- Minimum one year of experience
- Must obtain and maintain ARRT and MRT registries, to include required CME
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of: Background Check, Lab Work, Immunization Records
- Ability to be mobile – Continually
- Reaching overhead – Frequently
- Pushing/Pulling – Frequently
- Lifting/Carrying – (Maximum weight: 50 lbs.) Frequently
- Ability to talk to patient and/or staff – Continually
- Ability to hear patients and/or alarms – Continually
- Vision (near and/or far) – Continually
- Ability to distinguish colors – Continually
