The Hendersonville Radiology department is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This role involves reviewing exam requests, ensuring safe and appropriate imaging, applying skills to meet quality standards, and providing safety screening. The position also offers opportunities for assisting in the orientation and training of new staff. Requirements

  • LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
  • Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate the use of diagnostic tools in practical applications of moderate difficulty.
  • Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based. Appropriately escalates problems relating to rules and regulations in timely and effective manner.
  • Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to successfully demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Generally works under the direction of others while accomplishing assignments.
  • Experience Level : Less than 1 year

Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
  • Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
  • Performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.
