About The Position

This is a part-time (.5 FTE) night shift position for a Radiologic Technologist in General Radiology. The role requires the ability to perform all routine diagnostic procedures, including routine, fluoroscopic, OR, trauma, and portable radiographs or fluoroscopy. It also involves limited specials such as Myelograms and Venograms. The technologist must maintain a positive and professional atmosphere for patients, demonstrate effective interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals, and accurately transfer and position patients for examinations. Providing immobilization and radiation protection according to safety standards is also a key responsibility. The position requires the ability to work independently and with physicians and coworkers, serving patients of all age groups. Additionally, the role involves taking 24-hour stand-by duty.

Requirements

  • Capable of all routine diagnostic procedures including but not limited to: Routine, Fluoroscopic, OR, Trauma, Portable radiographs or fluoroscopy; limited specials such as Myelograms, and Venograms.
  • Current Oregon RT; and License
  • ARRT registered, within 6 months of hire.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with Physicians, coworkers and to provide service to patients of all age groups.
  • Must be able to take 24 hour stand-by.

Nice To Haves

  • New Graduate Rad Techs not yet completing Radiology Tech training must have a current Oregon limited RT License, verses a regular RT license and ARRT registration.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all routine diagnostic procedures including but not limited to: Routine, Fluoroscopic, OR, Trauma, Portable radiographs or fluoroscopy.
  • Performs limited specials such as Myelograms, and Venograms.
  • Maintains a positive and professional atmosphere for patients.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary in order to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical or emotional stress and gather and exchange patient information with nursing personnel and physicians.
  • Transfers and properly positions patients for examinations in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to physician specifications.
  • Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
