Requirements

• ARRT certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• 6 months of experience in Radiology Specialty area.
• Registration in a specialty area within twenty-four (24) months as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.

Responsibilities

• Learn the theoretical and practical application of specialty diagnostic examinations.
• Demonstrate a precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area.
• Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with the management team on ways to improve the department in general and the facility overall.
• Seek ways to improve systems and services.
• Meet and sustain departmental expectations while completing work assignments as it pertains to patient care in an ethical manner.
• Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times.
• Adhere to radiation safety regulations and standards.
• Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed.
• Maintain current certifications and licensure status.
• Participate in in-service education and outside educational programs.
• Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines.
• Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained.
• May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
