The Supplemental Radiologic/Fluoro Technologist will fill in for vacation and sick calls at various locations based on department need. This role involves performing general diagnostic radiography exams, including fluoroscopy in an outpatient setting, and is responsible for obtaining the highest quality radiological exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a Radiologist per established Inland Imaging guidelines and protocols. Essential duties include proficiently performing General Diagnostic Radiography exams in an outpatient setting, including Fluoroscopy procedures, arthrograms, UGI’s, esophograms, and feeding tube placement. The technologist sets up sterile trays for fluoroscopic guided procedures, assists radiologist/midlevel personnel with fluoroscopic procedures, administers oral/rectal contrast during fluoroscopic exams, and administers IV contrast during GU studies. They also assist physicians (non-radiologist) with fluoroscopic/C-Arm procedures and assist patients as needed to obtain quality exams, which includes physically maneuvering/lifting patients to standing or exam table positions (with assistance). Other duties involve preparing and maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms, maintaining clean radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment, assisting in patient transportation, participating in student training, and performing exams in various settings like OR, Endoscopy, hospital, urgent care, or clinical settings, including X-Ray exams on St. Lukes patients at the South Center location. The position requires adherence to all DOH, TJC, Inland Imaging, and partnering facilities policies and procedures, and performing other assigned duties. General duties include maintaining strict confidentiality, following health and safety policies, adhering to company policies on harassment, non-retaliation, discrimination, and respectful workplace, and complying with HIPAA and security policies. The role also requires a pleasant manner, good personal hygiene, freedom from alcohol and drug abuse, a valid driver’s license, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, detail orientation, ability to multi-task, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Self-directed learning and participation in continuing education are expected, along with the ability to consider individual patient needs across all ages. Professional demeanor, teamwork, and attendance at quarterly quality assurance meetings are also required, with rotation to other shifts and locations as needed. The technologist is expected to treat all patients and coworkers with dignity and respect, provide excellent customer service, conform to Joint Commission and HIPAA regulations, comply with PHI, and demonstrate Inland Imaging Core Values.
