Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
- Ongoing CT specified education including radiation protection and minimization of patient radiation exposure.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
- One year experience working as a Radiologic Technologist and/or CT Tech
Responsibilities
- Conduct radiographic and CT exams with precision, ensuring optimal patient positioning and the lowest possible radiation dose.
- Provide radiologists with comprehensive patient histories and optimal images for accurate diagnoses.
- Master contrast material procedures, including consent, IV starts (with nursing), and appropriate reaction protocols.
- Contribute to department quality control and maintain state/federal accreditation standards.
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout their exam, from transport to completion.
- Manage image processing, proper coding, scheduling, and maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
- Share on-call duties, weekends, and holidays, fostering a supportive and flexible team environment.
