About The Position

Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. The Radiology Technologist II must meet all basic criteria for Radiology Technologist I, and demonstrate proficiency in the responsibilities listed below plus a minimum of 6 months’ tenure at Memorial Healthcare System (MHS).

BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Must possess an active Radiography Certificate from the State of Florida and must take the ARRT(R) examination.
If hired to support Women Imaging: Candidate must obtain (M) Certification within 1 year. Upon successful completion of the certification, a 2-year contract will commence.
Candidate must be flexible to travel to all MHS Women’s Imaging Centers.

Responsibilities

Serves as a clinical resource for staff.
Provides feedback on performance evaluations for peers and trainees.
Operates Fluoroscope, C-Arm imaging systems and performs all surgical image guided procedures.
Performs workflow management, as necessary.
Precepts, at least, 2 students and/or new hires per quarter.
Performs Quality Assurance Testing on imaging and related equipment.
Actively participates in Radiology Quality Assurance (QA) Program (resource for peers on-site for specific skills and communicates radiologist feedback on image quality in constructive manner).
