Performs routine diagnostic, technical and/or special radiographic procedures at a general skill level. This role involves performing radiographic examinations, obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, and addressing patient concerns. The radiographer will also perform diagnostic procedures in specialty areas such as operating room procedures, complex portables, or trauma procedures. They will schedule cases, position and transfer patients safely, and practice radiation safety procedures. The role requires evaluating recorded images for technical quality, maintaining a low repeat rate, and participating in departmental improvement projects. Common expectations include demonstrating knowledge of patient growth and development, providing age-specific care, and adhering to safety regulations to reduce medical errors. The radiographer will maintain established policies and procedures, enhance professional growth, and provide outstanding customer service. On-call duties are also required.
