About The Position

The Praise Street Team is responsible for being the “face” of PRAISE 106.5 at various concerts, community and client events in Northwest Washington and BC. This role involves executing station events, engaging with the station audience, and distributing promotional giveaways and marketing materials. The position requires representing the station positively at public activities, facilitating contests, and managing event logistics such as setup and teardown. The role also includes providing feedback to supervisors and working collaboratively with team members and customers. The hours are variable, ranging from 4-10+ per event, with an average of 3-4 events per month on an as-needed basis, typically on evenings and weekends, but potentially during weekdays. All conduct must reflect well on CRISTA Ministries and align with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and Christian Community Representative Commitment.

• Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
• Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
• Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
• Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
• Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
• Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
• Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service.
• Valid Washington state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• 21 years of age with a clean driving record, and able to travel to/from Canada.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills and follow-through.
• Detail oriented with problem solving skills
• Friendly and outgoing.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Team player.
• Work well under pressure with little supervision
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic, positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
• Available by phone, email and/or text message on a weekly basis for scheduling and work assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Broadcast, Journalism, or related field, or currently studying for a degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
• Two plus years’ of customer service, marketing, event planning, or event staff experience.
• Email and web-based calendar tools.
• Have an interest in the communications, marketing or broadcasting industry.

Responsibilities

• Represent station at various community events, concerts and public activities, both outdoors and indoors in Whatcom country and lower mainland BC area.
• Actively engage with station audience, greet listeners, facilitate enter-to-win contests, and distribute promotional giveaways and marketing materials.
• Execute station events including setup and teardown, loading and unloading, and driving station vehicle to/from event locations.
• Implement standards to maintain station image and cheerfully represent the station in a positive light to the public.
• Provide post-event feedback to supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers and customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
