About The Position

We are enriching our radio lineup in southwestern Ontario by launching a new regional program on ICI PREMIÈRE and Radio-Canada OHdio. Produced by the local Windsor team, this hour-long weekday afternoon show will debut this fall. It aims to become a community hub, diving into local conversations about current events, culture, lifestyle and emerging trends. To bring this ambitious launch to life, ICI Windsor is seeking a dynamic and engaging Radio Host. Bringing curiosity, creativity and an innovative spirit to the airwaves, you will host our daily afternoon drive show. You will work closely with the Producer to prepare and deliver live and pre-recorded on-air content, while implementing creative strategies to connect and interact with our audience. With sharp editorial judgment and a deep understanding of Journalistic Standards and Practices, you will contribute directly to content development. This includes pitching interview and story ideas, collaborating with the team to draft interview question lines, conducting research, contacting potential guests and editing audio segments. Your strong digital presence will help showcase our content across various platforms, and you will represent Radio-Canada at select cultural and networking events to build strong, meaningful ties within the community. As an adaptable team player, you will collaborate seamlessly with colleagues from the newsroom and other programs. You also live and promote the values of an inclusive and respectful work culture. You know the people, the communities and the culture of Windsor and southern Ontario. Work is governed by CBC/Radio-Canada’s journalistic and programming policies, practices and standards. This is a permanent, full-time position. The successful candidate must be flexible to work overtime or adjust their schedule based on operational needs.
