About The Position

The Associate RF Engineer is responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, optimization and enhancement of wireless telecommunications networks. Responsibilities include link budgets analysis, system dimensioning for coverage and capacity including traffic analysis, initial system design and dimensioning, coverage planning, site identification, evaluation and zoning support, frequency planning, interference analysis and optimization. Overall Summary Entry-level professional with broad theoretical job knowledge. Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks. Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information. Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines. Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results. Nature of Supervision Works independently under regular direction and guidance on non-routine tasks requiring judgement and initiative. Standard processes are provided and peer review may be required. Less guidance and direction provided as proficiency increases. May provide guidance and assistance to support level employees. Communication & Influence Communicates with contacts typically within own team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to understand and reach agreement. Innovation & Complexity Work consists of less-routine tasks in contribution to changes in systems and processes to solve problems. May be required to apply discretion within identified boundaries and procedures. Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Expected to propose solutions to problems for others review. Organization Impact Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex projects or task-related activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required for the role.
  • Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.
