The Radio Frequency Engineer will architect, design, and develop advanced RF systems and circuitry for high-frequency and microwave applications. The role contributes to communication-system projects and involves working with current RF technologies in a collaborative engineering environment. The engineer will design RF systems and subsystems, develop and test RF circuitry, lead hardware layout and prototype testing, and prepare documentation for Product Development and Manufacturing teams. The role also includes link analysis, performance optimization, interference assessment, technical performance measurement and requirements allocation, and lifecycle trade studies and evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in RF Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in communication systems development, such as radios, antennas, or communication subsystems.
  • Over 3 years of hands-on experience using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) for RF analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in RF system design, hardware testing, and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating advanced communication systems.
  • Strong command of RF analysis methodologies, including co-site analysis, antenna pattern analysis, and link budgeting.
  • Proficiency with Ansys EMIT and related RF analysis tools.
  • Background in military or government programs and knowledge of the C-130 platform.
  • Familiarity with comprehensive system engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design RF systems and subsystems, including antennas, transmitters, receivers, and amplifiers.
  • Develop and test RF circuitry for receivers, transmitters, frequency synthesizers, and related components.
  • Lead hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and testing to ensure performance.
  • Prepare test methods, specifications, and documentation for Product Development and Manufacturing teams.
  • Conduct link analysis, performance optimization, and interference assessment.
  • Establish and track technical performance measurements (TPMs) and allocate system requirements.
  • Perform trade studies and CAIV analysis, and support cost, reliability, and maintainability evaluations throughout the system lifecycle.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive health benefits.
  • Opportunities for continuous learning, training, and career advancement.
  • Dynamic, collaborative work culture with access to cutting-edge RF technologies.
