Radiation Therapy Tech - Per Diem
About The Position
Administers prescribed treatment to patients using specialized therapy and computer systems. The purpose is delivery of quality care. Perform and/or assist in CT simulation procedure in CAT Scan department. Accurately delivers the prescribed planned course of therapy using the Linear Accelerator. Observes radiation safety measures for patient, self and others. Utilizes safety features of the safety needle (tatooing) appropriately. Assists patient to be as comfortable as possible on the table during all procedures, uses kneepads, armrests, security belts, additional blankets. Communicates with patient to ensure importance of comfort of position, allowing patient to have choices as appropriate to the situation.
Requirements
- HS graduate or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology
- Registered as ARRT with certification in radiation therapy
- BLS
