Requirements

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. Required
  • Trade/Technical School Required Completion of an ARRT approved school of Radiation Therapy Required
  • 5 years experience in Radiation Therapy Required
  • Radiation Therapy American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT RT(T) Required

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree
  • Documented experience as a coordinator or preceptor
  • Charge champion experience with billing and coding for radiation therapy treatments
  • 2 years in leadership/management position, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers individualized radiation therapy treatments to patients.
  • Performs clinical stimulations.
  • Calculates simple dosimetry, verifies treatment parameters and maintains necessary data, as well as assesses patients daily.
  • Practices personal accountability and leads staff to be personally accountable for the organizational mission and core values.
  • Assumes twenty-four hour responsibility for the operations of the department in order that quality patient care will be delivered in the most cost effective manner.
