About The Position

The Radiation Therapy Assistant supports radiation therapists and oncology staff in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient radiation treatments to patients. This role focuses on patient preparation, equipment setup, administrative support, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the radiation oncology department.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year work experience in a .6fte PCT I position at MUSC CHS or 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility
  • A college degree, or active enrollment in nursing school with completion of Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited institution
  • Active enrollment in a healthcare related field from an accredited institution
  • Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant, or equivalent training
  • Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
