The radiation therapist is an integral part of the radiation oncology treatment team. This person is responsible for the accurate delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments to patients and simulations for patient treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist. The therapist must have a thorough understanding of the rationale for radiation therapy as well as skills in patient assessment and interpersonal communication. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art Varian TrueBeam radiation therapy technology while enjoying the flexibility of a PRN schedule and competitive compensation. We welcome experienced Radiation Therapists, including those returning to clinical practice who may be a little rusty, as long as they bring a strong commitment to patient care, reliability, adaptability, and teamwork. Our Radiation Oncology team utilizes: Varian TrueBeam Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) Deep Inspiratory Breath Hold (DIBH) for left-sided breast cancer treatment Aria and Epic electronic medical record systems At Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Franklin, patients receive advanced cancer treatment close to home through evidence-based care, innovative technology, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
