About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by oncologists, ensuring precise and safe delivery of therapy. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Graduation from an AMA approved program in Radiation Therapy Technology or Radiologic Technology is required.
• Registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required.
• Licensure in Radiation Therapy Technology within the state of Maryland is required.
• CPR certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Associate of Science degree in Radiation Therapy Technology is preferred.
• One year of clinical practice in Radiation Therapy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients accurately for radiation treatment.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment to deliver prescribed doses.
• Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments and patient progress.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the treatment process.
