About The Position
Excellent opportunity for a Florida licensed Radiation Therapist to join an established radiation oncology practice in SW Florida. This is a full-time, permanent position. They will administer radiation treatments as well as ensure appropriate and applicable standards and practices as prescribed by a physician. TrueBeam experience preferred. Will be compliant with all regulations with the facility as it pertains to specific guidelines, requirements, and regulations.
Requirements
- Registered Radiation Therapist, graduate from accredited radiation therapy school or college.
- ARRT registered and certified, State of Florida license required by start date.
- CPR certification required.
Nice To Haves
- TrueBeam experience preferred.
- Experience with Varian machines preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history, physicians orders and radiation therapy treatment plan.
- Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation.
- Delivers therapy according to the treatment plan and the physicians prescription.
- Prepares equipment and supplies.
- Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
- Leads the team of all therapists in all aspects required such as but not limited to schedules, training, and coverage.
