As a Radiation Therapist, you will implement plans of treatment created by an Oncologist and Medical Dosimetrist to help combat diseases and cancers. Your work can also help prevent the recurrence of particularly malignant forms of cancer after they have been removed during surgery. This role is critical to the comprehensive care Cleveland Clinic provides patients, and you can make a lasting difference in their lives every day. A caregiver in this position works PRN from 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAHEA approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology or registry eligible
  • Registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)(T)(ARRT)] in good standing.
  • Current state licensure as a Radiation Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
  • Experience with radiation oncology specific electronic medical records

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with external Radiation Therapy, IMRT, IGRT and CT simulation

Responsibilities

  • Determine and deliver appropriate patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists.
  • Monitor and document patient's condition and report any adverse reactions.
  • Assess and educate patients according to specific department protocols.
  • Position patients and select anatomic/technical parameters accurately.
  • Check and adjust necessary equipment, including linear accelerator.
