IMH RGS Radiation Therapist - Radiation Oncology, Registry
About The Position
This position is for a Radiation Therapy Technician in the Radiation Oncology department at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL. The role involves administering ionizing radiation to patients for therapeutic purposes under the supervision of the Lead Therapist of Radiation Therapy and the medical direction of the Radiation Oncologist. The technician will also assist the Radiologist with radioactive isotope treatment, general and surgical procedures, schedule patients, and maintain necessary records. Additionally, the role includes assisting in teaching radiation therapy students. These services are provided for both inpatients and outpatients of all ages. The technician must maintain ACR standards at all times in the Radiation Therapy department. This is a 100% onsite opportunity, requiring the candidate to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.
Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintains certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Retains an active Radiation Therapy accreditation with the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety
- Registry eligible applicants must provide proof of application for temporary license
- Must successfully complete and maintain CPR certification
