About The Position

Advance your career with Essentia Health’s dedicated care team in Fargo, ND! The 0.6 Flex position is scheduled for 3 days per week or 6 days per 2-week pay period. Hours or shifts may flex depending on clinic needs. This position is Monday-Friday. No weekends, holidays, or on-call rotations are required. In this role you get too: The Radiation Therapist provides specialized, patient-centered care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, operates treatment and simulation equipment and technology, supports treatment planning, and adheres to quality and safety standards while maintaining patient confidentiality. Responsibilities include treatment delivery and imaging, CT simulations, patient positioning, patient monitoring, machine quality assurance, and documentation within the EHR. The Radiation Therapist possesses the knowledge and skill to accurately deliver doses of radiation as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, ensure patient safety, monitor the effects of radiation, and effectively interact and collaborate with patients, family members, and staff.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved radiation therapist program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiation Therapy
  • North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board of Examiners licensure
  • Current BLS/CPR certification

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year of Radiation Therapist experience preferred but not required
