About The Position

Under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist and supervision of the center director, the Radiation Therapist performs all clinical aspects of radiation therapy and other assigned duties. The therapist treats and communicates respectfully with adult and older adult patients, as well as occasional infant through adolescent patients. The role requires consideration and effectiveness when working with patients who have special physical, emotional, or psychological needs. The therapist also helps develop and achieve center goals and supports the continued quality of services provided.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an educational program leading to registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist.
• Current certification with the California Department of Public Health as a Radiation Therapist.
• BLS certification within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Current registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities
