About The Position

Under the direction of a physician, the radiation therapist administers radiation treatment to patients with cancer. This role involves not only operating equipment but also building relationships with patients, caring for them with a foundation of strong faith and training. The position requires accurately following treatment instructions and having experience in radiation oncology, with a focus on patient care.

Requirements

  • Registered Radiation Therapist (ARRT-RTT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Required within 90 days of hire)
  • State License (Required within 90 days of hire)
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association (Required within 90 days of hire)
  • Experience in radiation oncology

  • Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and direct the coordination of radiation oncology care according to established standards and policies.
  • Administer accurate radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Develop positive, trusting, caring, and professional relationships with patients.
  • Prepare and set up equipment to ensure patient immobilization, protection, and precise treatment delivery.
  • Observe the patient's progress throughout the course of radiation treatment.
