About The Position

Compass Oncology, the Pacific Northwest’s largest privately owned cancer care group, is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join their dedicated RadOnc team at the West Cancer Center. This role is an integral part of the RadOnc care team, assisting with the administration of radiation treatments to patients. Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, making custom molds, and aiding Radiation Oncologists in patient treatment. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
  • Must hold a valid state license for radiation therapy in Oregon.
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred; though highly motivated new graduates with a commitment to excellence and growth are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
  • Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
  • Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
  • Accurately makes custom molds.
  • Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
  • Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
  • Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.
