About The Position

Position Overview Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking a compassionate and technically skilled Radiation Therapist to join a respected healthcare organization in Ottumwa, Iowa. In this role, you will deliver prescribed radiation treatments with precision while providing reassurance and support to patients throughout their cancer care journey. You'll work closely with radiation oncologists and other oncology professionals to ensure treatments are administered safely, accurately, and according to each patient's individualized plan of care. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of $71,000 – $96,000 annually and is ideal for a Radiation Therapist looking to grow within a specialized area of patient care where technical expertise and compassion are equally important. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • Current ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy.
  • Current Iowa Permit to Practice Radiation Therapy.
  • Ability to maintain required continuing education, including 24 hours of continuing education within each two-year period.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety, treatment delivery, patient positioning, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical or professional experience in radiation oncology.
  • Experience with modern radiation therapy equipment and treatment delivery techniques.
  • Familiarity with oncology information systems and electronic medical records.
  • Experience collaborating with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and oncology nursing teams.
  • Strong patient education skills and an understanding of the unique needs of individuals undergoing radiation treatment.
