Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Radiation Therapist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiation Therapist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
- Safely administer prescribed radiation doses while accurately positioning patients and collaborating with the clinical team to execute treatment plans.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and adjustment of specialized radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain precise records of all therapy sessions and ensure the prompt, accurate submission of high-quality documentation and images to PACS.
- Adhere to all regulatory agency standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly clinical environment, including procedure and storage areas.
