About The Position

Franciscan Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join their team at the Indianapolis Campus. This role is responsible for planning, managing, and directing the coordination of radiation oncology care according to established standards and policies. The Radiation Therapist will administer accurate radiation treatments as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, build positive patient relationships, and prepare and set up equipment for precise treatment. They will also monitor patient progress throughout the course of treatment.

Requirements

Registered Radiation Therapist (ARRT-RTT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required within 90 days of hire
State License Required within 90 days of hire
Basic Life Support Program (BLS)- American Heart Association Required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

Plan, manage and direct the coordination of radiation oncology care with the knowledge, quality applicable under the standards and policies of Cancer Center.
Provide accurate radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
Develop positive, trusting, caring and professional relationships with patients.
Prepare and set up equipment to ensure immobilization, protection and precise treatment.
Observe the patient’s progress throughout the course of radiation treatment.
