About The Position

This is a PRN position for a Radiation Therapist, with hiring for December 2026. The role requires a graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program who is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T) and holds an Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice. The position also requires knowledge of current IDPH regulations and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. New employees must obtain BLS certification within three months of hire. The role involves working under pressure due to fluctuating workloads and deadlines, requiring a high degree of empathetic listening, tact, and kindness. Effective verbal communication and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are essential. Strong computer knowledge and technical skills relevant to the job duties are necessary, along with demonstrated collaborative and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy program.
  • On the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T).
  • Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice.
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure due to fluctuating workloads and deadlines.
  • High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally.
  • Must work effectively as a member of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
