Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required: Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Radiation Therapist licensed in the state of Kansas prior to start date.

Responsibilities

  • Execute precise radiation treatments as prescribed by the clinical team, ensuring each patient receives the exact dosage needed for their personalized healing plan.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and dosimetrists to review and deliver complex treatment plans, acting as a final safeguard for patient safety and clinical accuracy.
  • Prepare and position patients with both technical precision and a compassionate touch, utilizing advanced imaging and marking techniques to ensure maximum comfort and treatment efficacy.
  • Manage the integrity of patient care records and imaging data, ensuring every detail of the treatment journey is documented accurately for the broader care team.
  • Maintain a high-performance clinical environment by overseeing the calibration and readiness of advanced equipment, such as linear accelerators, to prevent delays in patient care.
