About The Position
The Radiation Therapist role is responsible for simulating treatment set-ups, performing dosimetric calculations, and accurately delivering ionizing radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist. This position works under the general supervision of the System Manager, Radiation Oncology and assists in patient care and management. The therapist adheres to clinical, technical, and operational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
- At a minimum, must be a candidate for ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology Therapy) certification. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within one year of start date into position.
- Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience with Varian equipment
- Previous experience with ARIA EMR
