About The Position
The Radiation Therapist Specialist position is located at the new Milman-Kover Cancer Pavilion in Sarasota, FL, on Sarasota Memorial Hospital's campus. This role provides radiation therapy support based on designated treatment plans under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist. The specialist will support the equipment, technology, software, and procedures utilized in the cancer pavilion, including HDR/Brachytherapy, Edge linear accelerator, Stereotactic Radiosurgery Cones, and Align Radiation Therapy. A $7,500 hiring bonus is available.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- Current/active State of Florida Radiologic Technologist licensure.
- Training and competencies in the following specialties, or completion within one year of hire: QA/Procedures for HDR/Brachytherapy, Edge linear accelerator, Stereotactic Radiosurgery Cones, Align RT, Sim RT, MAP RT and Dose RT.
- ARRT: Amer Reg Rad Technologist
- BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of one (1) year as a clinical Radiation Therapist.
- Experience with Varian equipment (True Beam and Aria).
