Requirements

• Graduate of a AMA accredited program in radiation therapy or suitable equipment
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in radiation therapy.
• Registered by ARRT with current license by the state of Louisiana in radiation therapy with minimum five years' experience in radiation therapy and licensed by the state of Louisiana in radiation therapy.
• Proficiency on all Elekta linear accelerators as well as simulator or CT simulator.

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience preferred
• Exposure of Nucletron HDR machine and Gamma knife preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the BR radiation therapy.
• Coordinates activities within the radiation treatment area, responsible for staffing and coverage of linear accelerators.
• Ensures highest quality of delivery of prescribed dose of radiation therapy to patients.
• Acts as liaison between physicians, and dosimetry staff and radiation therapist.
