About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Radiation Therapist at Sentara Brock Cancer Center, in Norfolk Virginia. Sign on Bonus up to $15,000 offered for qualified candidates! Shift: Treatment hours can vary anywhere from 6am -730pm. No call. Overview Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist according to established practices and standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT) Deliver brachytherapy treatment Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices Reviewing patient records for accuracy Acting as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel Maintaining patient records, reports, and files All new graduates will remain Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years of employment and are required to pass boards within 6 months of hire. Education Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED. Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered. Certification/Licensure Required to pass boards within 6-months of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire Experience: Prior experience strongly preferred Varian and Aria equipment, and Elekta HDR unit experience strongly preferred Keywords: Talroo-Allied Heath. Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED.
