Mid-Level Radiation Test Engineer
About The Position
Amentum is seeking a Mid-Level Radiation Test Electrical Engineer to support its Strategic Microelectronics program. This role involves performing a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems. The engineer will work as a member of a design, analysis, or review team, performing design development, analysis, or review tasks under some supervision. The position requires direct interface and liaison with customers and adherence to engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related scientific field
- 7 to 12 years of job-related experience or equivalent
- Good communications and analytical skills
- Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
- Ability to travel, as required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance
- US Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Nice To Haves
- Experience in modeling and simulation, experimental design, or testing of radiation-hardened electronics
- Master’s degree in engineering, or related scientific field, and 13 + years of job-related experience or equivalent
- Experience with hardware security and trusted electronics issues
- Experience with semiconductor fabrication tools and processes
- Active Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of design development, analysis or review tasks under some supervision
- Support radiation testing of microelectronic components
- Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review
- Generate sections of design specifications for more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projects
- Prepare, deliver and submit technical presentations for in-process design and review meetings
- Direct interface and liaison with customers at all levels from quotation to final design and test activities, design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications
- Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures
