As a Radiation Safety Assistant, you will supervise and perform field activities that support the safe and compliant use of radioactive materials and other sources of ionizing radiation. In this role, you will prepare and decontaminate rooms used for radiopharmaceutical patients, including applying protective coverings to floors and surfaces and completing room tear-down after patient release. You will assist with Interventional Radiology procedures by obtaining patient measurements, support radioactive waste operations by collecting, packaging, and disposing of radioactive waste and maintaining associated receipts, perform radiation detection equipment calibration, conduct laboratory audits, and provide support to Nuclear Medicine and Radiology teams. A caregiver in this role works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (flexible)
