The Radiation Oncology Physician develops and implements comprehensive radiation treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary oncology team. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cancer using radiation therapy techniques. Perform and oversee the administration of radiation therapy, ensuring accurate and safe delivery. Provide compassionate patient-centered care, including counseling patients and families on treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes. Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and coordinate patient care. The Radiation Oncology Physician ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to radiation therapy. Participate in clinical trials and research initiatives to advance the field of radiation oncology. Educate and train medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals on radiation oncology practices. Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of care in radiation therapy. The Radiation Oncology Physician monitors and manages patients throughout the treatment process, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on patient response and side effects.
