About The Position

The Radar Systems Combat Logistic Support (CLS) Mobile Training Team (MTT) Instructor is responsible for teaching, coaching, mentorship and instructing the end user for the installation, maintenance, repair, and operation of radar systems and their components. The training is conducted as part of a Mobile Training Team and will be performed at the V2X Indianapolis, IN facility, various CONUS/OCONUS locations and remote as required. This position has a high frequency of travel. The Radar Systems CLS Instructor also serves as the subject matter expert in theory of operation, troubleshooting, and system configuration. Furthermore, they assist in the modification, troubleshooting, repair, and function testing of radar systems when no instruction to the end user is needed. They report to the Program Manager who is overall responsible for all work performed. Radar Systems CLS Instructor Must have experience with instruction on radar systems, radar system tools, diagnostic equipment, TDME, specialized test equipment, bench mounted test and diagnostic and analysis systems and must be familiar with general automotive, mechanical systems, electrical systems, artillery and radar shop equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years in servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing military radar systems or equivalent equipment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must be familiar with the use of electronic technical manuals.
  • Must possess a valid State Driver’s License.
  • Must have a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC),within three months of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience instructing radar maintenance, repair, and operation.
  • Graduate of US Army 94 series or other service equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts both classroom and practical training to the end user on operation, theory, and basic maintenance.
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on radar systems.
  • Inspects, tests, and operates radar equipment to determine equipment serviceability, maintenance, repair and proper operation.
  • Services radar equipment, disassembles and assembles malfunctioning accessories and components.
  • Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstall components, cables and accessories.
  • Disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
  • Operates, cleans, inspects, and services radar equipment for maintenance purposes.
  • Practices good housekeeping, property accountability control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times.
  • The Systems Combat Logistic Support (CLS) Mobile Training Team (MTT) Instructor/Technician receives guidance and direction as necessary from the Program Manager with regards on policies, directives and professional development.
  • Additional responsibilities include working with a variety of repair and test equipment including, electrical testers and various other test equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
