About The Position

Dalcom Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineer – Technical Lead to support U.S. Army radar science and technology efforts at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Working with Government and contractor teams, you will lead the technical execution of advanced radar projects, develop modeling and simulation capabilities, and plan and support radar testing. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on radar signal and data processing, performance analysis, and coordination with Government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
  • 2+ years of experience using MATLAB.
  • 5+ years of radar systems engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with RF signal and data processing.
  • 5+ years of experience with RF simulation and/or test design.
  • Experience leading the development of RF systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
  • 10+ years of radar systems engineering experience.
  • 10+ years of experience with radar signal and data processing.
  • 10+ years of experience with radar simulation and/or test design.
  • Experience leading the development of new radar systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in MATLAB.
  • Experience with C++ programming.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to radar science and technology efforts.
  • Lead the technical execution of multi-year Department of Defense advanced radar projects.
  • Lead test planning and provide on-site test support for radar division projects.
  • Assist the Government project lead with project management and technical activities.
  • Lead development of analysis and simulation capabilities to evaluate new radar concepts and processing techniques, ranging from proof-of-concept scripts to large, multi-file, object-oriented programs.
  • Use simulations and small-scale tests to assess existing system performance, evaluate proposed or experimental capabilities, and design large-scale test configurations.
  • Develop solutions to complex technical problems involving signal and data processing and radar system design.
  • Analyze radar data products to evaluate system and algorithm performance.
  • Collaborate with radar subject matter experts and Army representatives to identify promising areas for future research and development.
  • Review external contractor deliverables, assess technical progress, and recommend future project direction.
  • Present technical results, analyses, and recommendations to external contractors and Government stakeholders.
