About The Position

Join the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center, where we design and develop advanced radar and early-warning sensor systems for the warfighter. We are seeking Radar Systems Engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and are eager to support innovative sensor and radar programs. You will work alongside experienced engineers to define system architecture, develop and verify system requirements, perform analysis and modeling, and support integration, testing, and flight activities across the full product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field prior to start
  • Academic or internship experience with: Hands-on testing of electronic equipment in labs
  • Troubleshooting electronic or system-level issues
  • Data analysis using MATLAB and/or C++
  • Experience in algorithm design, requirements development, software/hardware integration, and configuration management
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • 3.5 GPA or higher.
  • Coursework or experience in Systems Engineering or radar fundamentals and/or experience or project work in Radar Algorithm design, Radar Requirements development, Radar Software/hardware integration
  • Experience with DOORS or CAMEO
  • Programming experience in Java, C++, Python.
  • Experience or Coursework with: Signal processing, control theory, statistics, information theory, and detection methods
  • Imaging/pattern recognition
  • Data filtering (Kalman, batch, optimal estimation)
  • Advanced statistics

Responsibilities

  • Support development, analysis, documentation, and verification of system requirements using DOORS.
  • Generate system CONOPS and system architectures.
  • Assist with radar mode requirement development and system performance assessments.
  • Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analysis using tools such as MATLAB, Python, and C++.
  • Participate in hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and hands-on laboratory testing.
  • Support verification, validation, flight test, production, and post-deployment activities.
  • Perform trade studies, functional/physical analyses, and MBSE-based system design.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, findings, and briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
