About The Position

Radar Operators are an essential component of successful testing plan execution, utilizing their in-depth knowledge of system operations and radar theory to demonstrate and validate the advanced capabilities of sophisticated systems. Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with technical plans, test plans, and/or test procedures.
  • Experience with Linux, C++, Python, MATLAB and/or similar programming languages.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with the design, development and/or test of shipboard radar systems
  • Hardware Development, Software Development, System Integration and Test, or System Verification
  • Troubleshooting issues with hardware, and taking investigations to closure
  • Interfacing with Technical SMEs to support issue resolution and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of AEGIS Combat system operation

Responsibilities

  • Support system level radar integration and test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Operate the radar in support of integration and test activities.
  • Document issues and support system troubleshooting of software and hardware.
  • Interface with Technical SMEs to support issue resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Document test results, including test outcomes, analysis findings, and observed issues.
  • Support Missions: Travel as needed (up to 10%) to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
  • Independently complete complex assignments and develop cross mission area solutions.
  • Support shipboard testing at sea.
