About The Position

JT4 seeks motivated and experienced Radar Fusion Engineer to support flight test operations at Edwards AFB. Incumbent will be responsible for testing radar systems that integrate radar fusion techniques to enhance object detection and tracking capabilities. Contribute to developmental test & evaluation and apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to create and maintain digital system models. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate requirements and ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering degree.
  • Experience in systems engineering, developmental test and evaluation, and application of processes and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Radar and Electronic Warfare principles, and sensor operations.
  • Knowledge of Low Observables (LO) applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience working independently and in cross functional or small technical teams.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and eight (8) years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of Science in Engineering and a minimum of six (6) years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum four (4) years of related engineering experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering.
  • Knowledge and skill sufficient to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems in the specialty area.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools.
  • Well-developed leadership skills.
  • Planning/organizational skills.
  • Must possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Eventual upgrade to Top Secret clearance.
  • Eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Responsibilities

  • Testing radar systems that integrate radar fusion techniques to enhance object detection and tracking capabilities.
  • Contribute to developmental test & evaluation.
  • Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to create and maintain digital system models.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to validate requirements and ensure seamless integration.
  • Proficient in signal processing algorithms and radar signal processing techniques to optimize radar system performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software and hardware engineers, to ensure radar systems meet industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in radar technology and have a solid understanding of radar principles and related fields.
  • Conduct rigorous simulations, ground and flight tests to verify radar system functionality and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation, interim reports, and maintain databases for system and subsystem specifications.
  • Perform Radar Fusion engineering data analysis and modeling for radar and electronic‑warfare subsystems.
  • Provide consultative services on development programs and in the design and development of systems and components.
  • Apply the latest developments in engineering to solve complex problems in the specialty area.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems from a broad perspective.
  • Work under deadlines.
  • Read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job.
