About The Position

We are hiring a Rad Tech to apply specialized radiology skills under the direction of a clinic provider in the care and treatment of patients in a clinic setting. The role performs routine and skilled radiology tests, diagnostic tests, and procedures for patients of all ages. The Rad Tech recognizes and assesses urgent or emergency patient needs and initiates appropriate emergency procedures as needed. The position also follows clinic procedures and protocols for managing electronic medical records, including test results, retrieval, filing, creation, repair, and charging.

Hours are as needed. Shifts are typically eight hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

• Maintain a State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology.
• Knowledge of radiographic theory and techniques, clinic policies and procedures, and principles of anatomy.
• Extensive technical or specialized training, such as completion of an AMA-approved two-year radiologic technology training program and AART certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certification, or obtain it within three months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to the population served within three months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Clinic or physician office experience preferred.
